Give us all the monster, demon and slasher flicks in the world but in our books, the scariest horror is that which explores the unknown. And Apollo 18 is certainly one of those movies and honestly, we’re surprised that Hollywood hasn’t based a movie on what producers would like us to believe are the lost recordings from Apollo 18’s mysterious mission to the moon before. Ben Anderson (Warren Christie) and Nate Walker (Lloyd Owen) are two of three astronauts selected to embark on a secret mission to the moon towards the end of the Space Race era. Their mission is to plant cameras and listening devices to the surface of the moon. Too excited over getting their chance to walk on the moon, they fail to ask any other questions. What they discover is that there is something on the moon and that something doesn’t want to share tea and scones with Ben, Nate and the rest of humankind.
