For some reason, chubby, slightly clumsy guys are automatically funny. And Kevin James is funny! Add to that a giraffe yelling out “May Day” at the start of The Zookeeper and you know that you’re in for a load of crazy shenanigans. Griffin Keyes (Kevin James) is the zookeeper at Franklin Park Zoo and as you’d expect, animals are his life. But to impress his high maintenance former girlfriend Stephanie (Leslie Bibb), he’s thinking of switching careers believing that he needs a more glamorous job in order to win her back. Just when Griffin is about to leave the zoo, the animals decide to rebel against their code of silence and talk to Griffin in an attempt to find the perfect woman for him and keep him working at the zoo. With the likes of Cher, Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, Nick Nolte, Judd Apatow and Jon Favreau providing voiceovers, The Zookeeper is funny family fodder for the holidays.
